Ohio company coming to WGV

Stonecraft Fine Homes, an Ohio-based builder, has purchased six homesites in the Clubview Estates, Waterbury by the Links, Oakgrove Estates and Windmill Estates neighborhoods at the King & Bear.

Stonecraft Fine Homes will build custom homes priced from the $800s to more than $1 million. Headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, Stonecraft Fine Homes is an extension of Stonecraft Builders, established in 1995.

Condos coming on west side

Pre-sales have begun for homes in the Brookewood condominiums on the west side of Jacksonville.

Brookewood Condominiums is a project of the Orange Park-based Omega Design/Build Group.

The two- and three-bedroom, three-bath townhomes are priced from $164,900, and offer 1,570 square feet of living space.

Homebuyers will receive entirely paid closing costs and one free year of homeowner’s association fees through SunTrust and Chase

Home Mortgage. Through the preferred lenders’ first-time homebuyer program, applicants may receive up to $25,000 in down payment assistance.

Jacksonville high-rise ready in January

The Miami-based real estate development firm American Land Ventures, developers of The Peninsula, has announced that The Strand, its 28-story condominium residence on Jacksonville’s Southbank, is expected to be completed by year’s end and ready for occupancy in January.

The sales center will open November 18 in conjunction with the Downtown Living Tour. Pricing starts in the $200s.

Nearly all of The Strand’s 295 condos feature river views. Buyers select from 14 floor plans, including three-bedroom/two-bath, two-bedroom/two-bath and one-bedroom/one-bath residences.

The Strand is part of American Land Venture’s St. John’s Center which also includes The Peninsula, a 234-unit condominium tower with an anticipated completion of Winter 2007. The two buildings will be connected by an outdoor courtyard area featuring an integrated series of fountains and water features. The public space will also include a covered plaza along the riverfront. Additionally, there are plans to build a 75-slip marina on the St. John’s River with capacity for vessels up to 100 feet long.
