The Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association ended its 2006-07 year with its annual judicial reception Thursday evening at the Hyatt. Themed “Lifestyles of the Robed and Famous” the reception drew 250-300 from the local legal community including members of the bench, attorneys and judicial assistants.
“This is our premier event of the year,” said immediate-past JWLA President Patty Dodson. “We announce our leadership changes and our lawyer of the year.”
This year’s JWLA “Lawyer of the Year” is Rebekah Gleason, a professor at Florida Coastal School of Law.
Also during the reception, Susan Haag took over as president. Haag is an attorney with the Office of Attorney General.
