It was a fixture on Forsyth Street for months and now it has disappeared. The installation by TTV Architects for the Otis Smith Kids Foundation was titled “Close Encounters of the Cat Kind.” The Big Cats for Kids from all over town have been collected to get ready for the July 10 “PAWty of the Year” at the Morocco Shrine Center on St. Johns Bluff Road when all the statues will be auctioned to benefit the foundation. Architect Tri Vu (pictured) decided to create a “crime scene” on the side of the building to remind pedestrians that TTV’s Big Cat is on his way to the event, space suit and all. Tickets to the party and auction are $50 per person including dinner catered by Outback Steakhouse. For information or reservations, call 880-6847 or e-mail: [email protected].
