The Florida Bar’s Statewide Nominating Commission for Compensation Claims Judges is seeking one lawyer from the territorial jurisdiction of the 3rd state appellate districts to a serve four-year term commencing July 2. All applicants must be members of The Florida Bar who are engaged in the practice of law. No attorney who appears before any Judge of Compensation Claims more than four times a year is eligible to serve on the Commission, pursuant to Section 440.45(2)(b), F.S.
Commissioners are also not eligible for state judicial vacancies filled by the Judicial Nominating Commission on which they sit for two years following the expiration of their term. Commissioners are subject to Florida financial disclosure laws. Meetings and deliberations are open to the public.

Completed applications must be submitted to Florida Bar Executive Director John Harkness at The Florida Bar, 651 E. Jefferson St., Tallahassee, FL, 32399-2300 no later than close of business today.
