The St. Johns Builders Council 2007 board of directors was sworn in by St. Johns County Sheriff David Shoar last month at the Marsh Creek Country Club.
Randy Brunson was sworn in as the council chair. Other officers are Joe Ruggeri, first vice chair; Barbara Goll, associate vice chair; Dan Brady, Nancy Brenner, Wayne Cope, Bill Lazar, Robert Marshall, Bruce Militello, Ed Paucek, John Ruggeri, Bobby Sturgeon and Chip Yelton, Builders at Large; and, Lelia Baruch, Antoinette Bonafede, Angela Bunkelman, Patti Farrell, Dawn Ginnane, Dave Hall, Bruce Peters, Seymoine Schmidt and Holly Yelton, Associates at Large.
Leona Brown, St. Johns Builders Council director, acknowledged members who supported the council during 2006. Barbara Goll, AllPro Realty, and Bruce Peters, WeatherBarriers Unlimited, presented Appreciation Awards to Holly Yelton, Bank of America; Ron Gelinias, BB&T Mortgage; Brandon Howlett, SunTrust Mortgage; Dwight Wilkes, St. Johns County Code Development; Stan DeAngelis, St. Johns County Building Department; and Howard White, St. Johns County Building Department.
The council also presented these awards:
Award of Excellence and Dedication - Ed Paucek, service in Government Affairs.
Award - Randy Brunson, 2006 Chair of SJBC.
Associate of the Year - Seymoine Schmidt, Colonial Bank.
Builder of the Year - Robert Marshall, World Island Builders.
Tim Callum, Gator Door East, was presented with the Hall of Fame for Associate, and Don Hoover, Homes by Hoover, received the Hall of Fame for Builder.
Checks were presented to Diane Quick of Habitat for Humanity, Kay Green of the Council on Aging and the St. Johns Housing Partnership. The contributions were the proceeds of the council’s annual charity golf tournament.
Bonded Builders Home Warranty, KB Home, Colonial Bank, Land Title of America and Construction Debris Removal sponsored the event.
