St. Johns Council installs board at Christmas Party

Members of NEFBA’s St. Johns Builders Council installed the 2008 board of directors at the 2007 Christmas Party at Marsh Creek Country Club. The SJBC board of directors was sworn in by St. Johns County Sheriff David Shoar who also presided over the oath of office for 2008 Chairman Ed Paucek.

The 2008 Board of Directors for the St. Johns Builders Council are:

• Ed Paucek, chairman

• Dennis Ginder of Mercedes Homes, 1st vice chairman

• Bill Lazar of the St. Johns Housing Partnership, 2nd vice chairman

• Barbara Goll of AllPro Realty, associate vice chairwoman

The Builders at Large include Daniel Brady, Andy Chance, Tom Coats, Wayne Cope, Don Hoover, Robert Marshall, John Ruggeri and Bobby Sturgeon.

The Associates at Large include Antoinette Bonafede, Tim Brown, Angel Bunkelman, Bruce Peters, Ed Prange, Amanda Rudeen, Greg Russell, Seymoine Schmidt, Greg Shuler and Holly Yelton.

Checks were presented to the St. Johns Housing Partnership, ReBuild, St. Johns County Educational Foundation and Habitat for Humanity for their outstanding services to St. Johns County by chairman Randy Brunson and chairman-elect Paucek.

Several members also received awards at the installation.

Goll won the award for Outstanding Service & Dedication; Paucek, Blackstar Group, won the Excellence in Leadership award; Ed Prange of Reliable Building Supply won Associate of the Year; both Lazar and Marshall, World Island Builders, were chosen as Builders of the Year for their joint efforts to promote and build affordable housing in St. Johns County. Inducted into the Hall of Fame for their many years of membership were associate Barbara Jones, Prosperity Bank, and builder John Ruggeri, Ruggeri Construction.

Appreication awards were presented to Howard White and Dwight Wilkes of the St. Johns County Building Department for their loyal support to the building industry; past board member Bruce Militello for his contribution to the SJBC and the Charity House; Cope for volunteering at the Charity House; Peters for his support to SJBC; Yelton, Seymoine Schmidt, Donna Jimmerson-McGee and Ron Gelinas for their contributions; Marian Blanchard of the St. Johns County/St. Augustine Board of Realtors for her support to ReBuild and SJBC; and to John Hewin of Marsh Creek Country Club for hosting the Parade of Homes Awards Banquet, golf tournament and Christmas parties for SJBC for the past three years.

Shoar was recognized and given an appreciation award for his support to the SJBC and the citizens of St. Johns County.
