Recognition continues for outstanding interior design, merchandising and marketing as Rita Williams’ Merchandising Plus captured four prestigious Laurel Awards from the Sales and Marketing Council (SMC) of the Northeast Florida Builders Association (NEFBA).
“Once again it’s an honor to be recognized by your peers. I’m very proud of our wonderful clients, suppliers and team. It’s a testament to everyone’s dedication to meet customer’s expectations while enhancing a vision for creativity, quality and design,” said Williams, a member of the Florida Housing Hall of Fame and owner of Merchandising Plus, of the multiple honors.
• Best Interior Design for (Attached) Home from $500,000 to $1 million was awarded to the Merchandising Plus team for the Royal Palm model showhome at Sunset Pointe in St Augustine for Group IV Properties.
• Best Interior Design (Detached) Over $1 million went to Merchandising Plus for Casa Rio, a spectacular Rosewood Homes model showhome.
• And Trident Realty’s Cordova model show home at Augustine Island in Palencia, created on by Merchandising Plus, won for Best Interior Design (Attached) Over $1 Million.
“The Cordova is a testament to the vision and talent the Merchandising Plus team brings to every project,” said Wayne Schneiner, senior vice president of Trident Realty.
The Laurels signify outstanding interior merchandising and marketing throughout Northeast Florida. “Rita’s unequaled creativity and energy is evident in the spectacular look and feel of the Casa Rio,” said Roger Day, president of Rosewood Homes.
Again showcasing their creativity, Merchandising Plus won for Best Overall Marketing Program By An Associate. “Our philosophy has always been to do great work for our clients, then showcase that work in our marketing materials. Whether it be traditional media, brochures or television we have been able to portray our capabilities and experience through our program,” Williams said.
The Merchandising Plus team of Williams, Terry Duguid, Kate Schmidt, Sharon Blank, Lisa Gielincki, Lisa Lapkovitch and Diane Jenkins are included in an elite group of housing industry professionals in the Southeast United States that have set new standards for new home marketing and design excellence.
“Each year, the Laurel Awards are presented to outstanding builders, planners, architects, developers, designers, interior merchandisers/designers and other housing-related professionals. These awards show the very best,” said Amanda Randolph, SMC coordinator.
Williams was inducted into the Florida Housing Hall of Fame in 2003. She is a veteran Northeast Florida interior merchandiser. She is a life director member of the NEFBA Board of Directors and the Florida Homebuilders Association.
