It has been at The Landing for about 15 years in different spots, but now the United States Post Office is really going to help Sundrez deliver.

The convenience store located in the lower level of the Landing will double in size within the next week by moving down the mall to a bigger store. The larger store will house a post office station and more of just about everything they currently carry.

“We have survived and developed this business on one principle,” said Doug Ganson, owner of Sundrez. “We give our customers what they want, and we will continue to tweak our business to meet our customers’ needs.”

Along with a variety of convenience items including cough medicine and sodas, the store offers a large selection of Jacksonville souvenirs and cigars. The expansion will allow the store to carry a “light” line of grocery items, which will include bread, milk and pet food.

Ganson is planning to have the store opened June 2, and the postal station open the following week. The station will offer all postal services except post office boxes.

Sundrez will get new hours with its new location. Once the postal station is open, the store will open its doors at 8:30 a.m. and it will also stay open until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
