• NEFBA executive Daniel Davis has been given an Association Executive Achievement Awards by the National Association of Home Builders Executive Officers Council. Davis won the Best Public Relations Campaign for NEFBA’s First Coast New Home Buying Expo that educated the public on all aspects of home buying.
• NEFAR will elect its 2010 officers at the October 2 quarterly meeting at the Marriott Southpoint. The Northeast Florida MLS directors also will be elected. The speaker will be Chris Oakley of the Federal Reserve Bank.
• The next SAM Tram tour will be Sept. 17 with six communities in Nocatee and the surrounding area on the route. There will be pickups at the NEFBA office at 8:30 a.m. and the Food Lion parking lot at Palencia at 9.
• The Prudential Network Realty is again having a “Take It to the House” promotion at Jaguars games. Fans can register at the Prudential booth at games to win a chance of getting $50,000 toward a new home if a Jaguar returns a kick for a score.
• David Weekley Homes is giving away a trip for two with accommodations at The Ritz-Carlton on Amelia Island. • ICI Homes now has a scratch-off promotion with more than 3,000 prizes. Everyone who registers at any ICI Homes community in the state will win either a seven-day/six-night vacation getaway, a weekend getaway, a beach chair or a gift from the ICI Homes treasure chest. • Collins Builders is now building in the Clay County community of Pine Ridge Plantation with a new line of home designs starting from the $130,000s. Collins will build 25 homes in the development from 1,266 square feet to 3,256 square feet of living space. A model home will be ready in October.
