The Jacksonville Bar Association was presented with the 2010 Robert J. Beckham Equal Justice Award by Jacksonville Area Legal Aid Tuesday at the 12th Annual Equal Justice Awards event at The River Club. From left, JBA President Courtney Grimm, JBA Executive Director Susan Sowards and immediate past JBA President Dan Bean accepted the award presented by JALA Executive Director Michael Figgins. The award was presented to The JBA for its efforts to develop a partnership with JALA to help address some of the problems of the community. The event’s keynote speech was presented by Florida State University President Emeritus Talbot “Sandy” D’Alemberte.
