Hispanic Bar board sworn in

The new board for the Hispanic Bar Association of Northeast Florida was sworn in as part of the events held by the association to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. Michelle Bedoya Barnett, secretary; Andrew Abramovich, vice president membership/events; Paola Parra, president; Ricardo Bedoya, president-elect; and Vanessa Zamora Newtson, treasurer, were sworn in by Duval County Judge Roberto Arias during the association’s quarterly luncheon. The association recently hosted a panel discussion titled “Immigration Reform: Is Arizona law the answer or is there a better way?” and a “Picaditos y Mentores” (Munchies and Mentors) cocktail reception at Bistro Aix attended by members and students from Florida Coastal School of Law.
