• Wally Lee of the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce, Ron Autrey of Miller Electric Co., Marty Lanahan of Regions Bank and Karen Burdette of Burdette Ketchum were named to the Florida Council of Economic Education’s 12th Annual First Coast Business Hall of Fame.

• Jacksonville University announced that Jim Dalton, president and CEO of the Dalton Agency, and Nina Waters, president of The Community Foundation in Jacksonville, have been named JU’s 2010 Distinguished Alumni.

• Existing condo sales in metropolitan Jacksonville rose 45 percent between September 2009 and last month, while the median sales price fell 30 percent, according to the Florida Realtors. The 205 sales this year are up from 141 last September, while the median sales price (meaning half were higher and half were lower) fell from $108,500 last year to $76,100 this year.

• Meanwhile, existing single-family home sales fell 7 percent in the area, said the Florida Realtors, from 1,127 in September 2009 to 1,050 last month. The median sales price fell 2 percent, from $139,900 to $136,800.

• Correction. The new executive board for the Jacksonville Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates includes President-elect Diane Weaver and Treasurer Charles Pillans. The names were reversed in information provided to the Daily Record.
