How did you get involved?
I finished second place in a Pop Rocks and Pepsi Clear eating contest in 2004.

How can someone else get involved?
Reach out to a contact within the organization and ask how you can become a contributing member. If they are a leader within the organization, it is their implied duty to get you plugged in and put you on the path to success within the organization.

What have you learned/achieved through the experience?
You must get involved to have an impact. No one is impressed with the won-lost record of the referee. My personal hero Winston Churchill said, “You make a living by what you get. You make a life by what you give.” By becoming involved, young lawyers and professionals can mature personally, culturally, socially and academically, all the while giving back to their community, colleagues and craft.

What was the last book you read or are reading?
I’ve got an eclectic nightstand rotation going that consists of “The Rise and Fall of the Confederate Government” by Jefferson Davis; “According to the Rolling Stones” by Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood; and “Business Litigation in Florida” by various contributing authors.
