With friends and family around him, Ronald Giddens (left), longtime owner of local Hardage-Giddens funeral homes, was congratulated Tuesday for 70 years of service in the funeral service industry. Giddens’ daughter, Robin Giddens Sheppard, presented him with a resolution from the Florida Cemetery, Cremation & Funeral Association for the integrity, professionalism and ethics Giddens has brought to the profession, while Hardage-Giddens President Jody Brandenburg read letters of praise. “All I can do is say thank you,” said Giddens.
