The Jacksonville Jaguars’ 2011 training camp is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. today when the team hits the practice field for the first time on the Florida Blue Health & Wellness Practice Fields adjacent to EverBank Field.

The first 16 training camp practice sessions will be open to the public for viewing over the first nine days, through Aug. 5. There is no admission charge for training camp, and parking will be available in lots J, M and N on the west side of the stadium.

Video cameras and computers are strictly prohibited, as are horns, whistles and other noisemakers. Audio or video recording, broadcasting, live streaming and blogging are also prohibited. Still cameras are allowed, provided the lens is not longer than 6 inches.

Among the prohibited items are the following:

• Cameras with lenses longer than six inches

• Coolers or containers including cans, cups and bottles

• Knives, guns and any type of weapon or explosive

• Laser pointers

• Noise makers, whistles and air horns

• Pets, except special services animals

• Video equipment and tape recorders

• Laptop computers

Fans wishing for autographs are asked to do so after each practice session, outside the practice-field fence as the players return to the locker room. Groups wishing to visit training camp do not need to make special arrangements and may watch practice from the bleachers.

Restroom facilities and concessions will be available. Concession stands will offer food and beverages as well as Jaguars merchandise, including training-camp T-shirts and caps.

Fans can call the team’s training camp hotline at 633-6525 for a recorded message about the daily practice schedule. The message will be updated daily and as changes are made to the practice schedule through Aug. 5.
