How did you get involved?
Getting involved in IMPACTjax was not difficult – I just started going to the events, eventually joined a committee and was ultimately selected for leadership.

How can someone else get involved?
By doing the same things that I did – start showing up and participating.

What have you learned/achieved through the experience?
I’ve learned that business and community leaders realize the importance of engaging young professionals in the affairs of the community. As a result, the opportunities for young professionals to get involved and have an impact on our city are increasing exponentially. IMPACTjax continues to edify its members for such involvement by helping them grow as professionals via professional development programming, connect with the community through community service activities, interact with peers at social and cultural events and understand the issues facing our community through government and political affairs programming.

What was the last book you read or are reading?
I’m currently reading “Jacksonville: The Consolidation Story, from Civil Rights to the Jaguars” by James B. Crooks.
