Dollar General on the way to Lem Turner

Concept Development LLC of Gainesville filed plans for what appears to be yet another Dollar General store, this one on 1.02 acres at northeast Lem Turner Road and Clyde Drive.

Like the others, it is a 9,100-square-foot store.

Concept Development has developed at least 18 Dollar General stores in Northeast Florida and filed plans for four more, in addition to the Lem Turner location.

The other four are at Florida 207 and North Street in St. Augustine; 6830 Atlantic Blvd., near Agnue Avenue; along Baymeadows Road, east of Goodbys Creek and west of Regina Road; and along West Beaver Street near Chaffee Road on a 1.3-acre site.

Space at the center, at 5238 Norwood Ave., No. 21, is under renovation by Titan Contractors Inc. Build-out of the 4,800-square-foot store is shown as $147,789.

DTLR already has taken steps to open at River City Marketplace and Highland Square, both in North Jacksonville.

DTLR is a clothing retailer aimed at the 30-and-under demographic. It focuses on apparel and shoes for a core demographic of customers from ages 15-30.
