State Farm Insurance Co. wants to fill up to 100 customer service jobs in Jacksonville during this year's first quarter.
State Farm Florida spokeswoman Michal Brower said most of the jobs are part-time, with a limited number of full-time positions.
Brower said about 1,000 employees work at the Jacksonville Operations Center at 8001 Baymeadows Road.
A career fair is planned Jan. 29 at the Wyndham Jacksonville Riverwalk Hotel at 1515 Prudential Drive.
The hours of the fair are 8-11 a.m., 1-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m.

The jobs being filled will start March 3 with seven weeks of paid training, which is required, according to the site.
The job hours are part-time, 24 hours a week, and employees must be available to work Saturday and Sunday. Benefits are offered.
The job posting says the position is the first-level contact for basic and routine customer service inquiries and problems.
State Farm developed the Jacksonville Operations Center in 1976.
It recently sold the 284,000-square-foot center to a company that is part of Hudson Advisors LLC of Dallas and is leasing it back for 15 years with two five-year options to renew.
Sysco continues NW Jacksonville expansion
Sysco International Food Group Inc. landed approval to build the foundation for its expansion at 3100 Hilton St. in Northwest Jacksonville near another warehouse it is renovating.
Primus Builders Inc. is the contractor for the almost $320,000 foundation for remodeling the Hilton Street warehouse and for offices, freezer and cooler space and a truck dock. The city approved the permit Friday.
As reported, Sysco International Food Group intends to invest almost $11.1 million to renovate the Northwest Jacksonville warehouse to accommodate an expansion.
A building-permit application describes the 195,000-square-foot project as a renovation and expansion of an existing facility, including the freezer, cold dock, dry warehouse, dry dock, office and related site improvements.
Sysco Corp.'s International Food Group is based in Plant City. The Jacksonville expansion will accommodate the group's exports operation and is expected to create 60 jobs by early summer.
Charley Wilson, vice president of corporate communications, said in October the International Food Group distributes and exports products to Sysco customers outside the United States.
The food group is expanding next to the Hilton Street location as well. As the Daily Record reported, Sysco International Food Group paid $915,000 for a 32,375-square-foot warehouse on 2.8 acres at 3000 W. 45th St.
Houston-based Sysco has two distribution centers in Jacksonville — the new International Food Group center and its food-service operation at 1501 Lewis Industrial Drive, which is 3 miles southwest. Together, the two are expected to have more than 300 jobs in Jacksonville.
The company has 93 locations in the U.S., Bahamas, Canada, Ireland and Northern Ireland.
It has grown to $44 billion in sales and serves about 425,000 customers in the foodservice industry.
Southeastern Freight opens service center
Southeastern Freight Lines, a regional less-than-truckload transportation
company, announced it has opened a 158-job service center in Northwest Jacksonville.
The center, at 3335 Edgewood Ave., provides 125 dock doors, 22,000 square feet of office space and more than 19,000 square feet of warehouse space.
Ten of the dock doors are dedicated to serving international customers in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean Islands, the company said.
Southeastern Freight Lines is based in Lexington, S.C.
The center replaces a previous facility and is designed for growth.
"With the addition of this service center in Jacksonville, we will be even better positioned to provide Southeastern's quality ... service to the local market," said Marty Coffey, service center manager for Southeastern in Jacksonville, in the news release.
The Jacksonville service continues to hire pickup and delivery drivers and freight handlers.
Southeastern Freight Lines is privately held.
It was founded in 1950 and specializes in next-day service in the Southeast and Southwest and operates 81 service centers in 12 states and Puerto Rico.
Southeastern said it has a network of service partners to ensure transportation services in the remaining 38 states, Canada, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Mexico.
