My wife is a longtime volunteer Young Life leader and I’m a member of the ministry’s Metro Jacksonville Board.

How did you get involved?

I came to a decision long ago that life is too short to spend it sitting on the sidelines.

How can someone else get involved?

Recognize that time is a limited resource, set aside time to establish priorities and then get to work on the things that truly matter.

What have you learned/achieved through the experience?

I’ve learned that whatever I’ve achieved in life is due to people who cared about me. In the end, relationships are all we have.

What was the last book you read or are reading?

I just finished Tim Keller’s “Counterfeit Gods: The Empty Promises of Money, Sex and Power, and the Only Hope that Matters.” It’s worth reading.
