Robert Devine has joined Holland & Knight’s Jacksonville office as a senior counsel.
Devine is former vice president and head of the labor and employment law group for Bi-Lo Holdings and Winn-Dixie Stores.
While there, he was responsible for more than 530 Winn-Dixie stores and focused on talent acquisition, management and development and the strategic and executive level.
He served in different roles with the company’s legal department since 2005.
At Holland & Knight, he’ll help clients develop human resource strategies, advise on labor and employment law, benefits, immigration and labor-relation issues. He’s a member of the American Employment Law Counsel.
Devine received his bachelor’s and law degrees from the University of Florida.
Commission seeking candidates for Duval judgeship …
The 4th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission is seeking applicants for a Circuit Court vacancy in Duval County resulting from the upcoming retirement of Judge David Wiggins.
Applicants have to have been a member of The Florida Bar for the past five years, be a registered voter and live in the jurisdiction at the time they assume office.
Those interested in applying must deliver a completed paper version of the application to: Gilbert Feltel Jr., chair of the 4th Circuit Judicial JNC, Tanner Bishop, One Independent Drive, Suite 1700.
In addition a .pdf version of the completed application and color photograph must be emailed to [email protected], along with a redacted version.
Files should be named to indicate which version is redacted.

The commission will provide Gov. Rick Scott with nominees.
