The Jacksonville Bar Association, Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, Florida Coastal School of Law and Florida State College at Jacksonville are partnering for the next “Ask-A-Lawyer” event from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday at FSCJ’s Downtown campus.

It is open to the public and free-of-charge.

Attorneys with expertise in many areas of law can provide guidance for family matters, employment, landlord/tenant, wills, estate, criminal law and bankruptcy issues. Participating attorneys will conduct individual 10- to 15-minute consultations as part of the event.

Additionally, members of the Hispanic Bar Association will be available for Spanish-speaking individuals.

People who participate must sign statements verifying they understanding the interviewing attorney will not be opening a case, but simply there to provide legal guidance and information.

For matters that require full representation, people may be referred to Jacksonville Area Legal Aid or the Jacksonville Lawyer Referral Service.

The event is offered four times a year in areas across the city.
