Jacksonville University opened its Downtown campus Wednesday on the 18th floor of the SunTrust Tower at 76 S. Laura St.

The campus accommodates 30 full-time staff and faculty and serves about 100 students.

Students studying at the university’s Davis College of Business, Brooks Rehabilitation College of Healthcare Sciences and the Nathan M. Bisk Center for Professional Studies will take courses at the campus.

In 2018, the school’s executive MBA program will begin holding classes.

The Downtown Investment Authority gave the school a $274,000 loan to help the school complete the build-out.
