The Florida Theatre named its lobby The Players Promenade in honor of The Players Championship becoming a corporate partner.
Florida Theatre President Numa Saisselin said the team members “look forward to strengthening the connections between Downtown and the beaches communities.”
The Florida Theatre, 128 E Forsyth St., opened in 1927 and was founded as a nonprofit in 1987.

• Crew awarded: The crew of the Crowley Maritime Corp.-managed SS Wright, a U.S. Maritime Administration Ready Reserve Force ship, was awarded Merchant Marine medals for outstanding achievement for their efforts after Hurricane Maria. The crew provided humanitarian aid to the U.S. Virgin Islands, transporting supplies, equipment and emergency responders.
