Keke’s Breakfast Café coming to Town Center

Orlando-based restaurant coming to The Strand at Town Center, The Pavilion at Durbin Crossing.

The Strand at Town Center, its third Northeast Florida restaurant following one already open in St. Augustine and a second planned in The Pavilion at Durbin Park.

A $210,000 initial build-out for the existing shell space at 4906 Town Center Parkway, No. 104, is in review. No contractor is listed.

The tenant will provide final build-out of the 4,401 square feet of space.

Keke’s Breakfast Café is based in Orlando and franchises its restaurants. The kekes.com site shows 32 locations in Florida and 13 coming soon, including at The Strand and Durbin Park.

Keke’s will lease about 4,400 square feet in Durbin Park.

“It’s like your hometown diner grew up and went to the city,” is its slogan.

Kekes.com reports the estimated initial investment in a franchise is about $348,000 to $937,000, including a franchise fee of $50,000.

The rest covers expenses like tenant improvements, equipment, signage, plans and permits and other costs.

Keke said its restaurants will draw from residential and business customers within 3 miles, where the restaurant should have access to at least 30,000 people.

“Keke’s Breakfast Cafe is designed for people ‘on the go’ and can be located in shopping centers, multiuse developments, lifestyle centers, mega centers, entertainment centers, and urban locations between 4,500 and 5,000 square feet,” says Kekes.com.

Operating hours are 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Keke’s is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
