Forking Amazing Restaurants LLC announced Monday it closed Il Desco, the Italian restaurant it opened in 2015 at 2665 Park St. in Riverside.

It’s the second restaurant the group, led by Jacques Klempf and Fraser Burns, closed in the last six months.

Ovinte, a wine bar and restaurant at St. Johns Town Center, closed in July.

Through a news release, spokeswoman Natalie DeYoung said the owners would evaluate other concepts for the location.

Klempf said through the release that “on behalf of all the owners, I extend my deepest gratitude to our incredible employees and every guest who dined with us at Il Desco.”

He said the group remains “excited and optimistic about the growth of the Riverside culinary community, and look forward to new opportunities in Il Desco’s location.”

DeYoung said employees will be offered opportunities at Forking Amazing Restaurants' other concepts, which are  Cowford Chophouse Downtown and Bistro Aix in San Marco.

Bistro Aix remains closed as repairs are made from water damage during Hurricane Irma, which was in September.

DeYoung said the group is aiming for a February reopening, but no date has been set.

Both restaurants will honor Il Desco gift cards.
