The Florida Bar announced Monday that attorney Michael Fox Orr was elected to the statewide group’s board of directors.

Managing shareholder of the Dawson Orr law firm in Jacksonville, Orr will serve a two-year term beginning July 1 and represent the 4th Judicial Circuit, replacing Rogers Towers managing director Fred Franklin, who did not seek re-election.

He was president of The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division in 2013-14 and president of The Jacksonville Bar Association Young Lawyers Section board in 2011-12.

Orr currently serves on the JBA board of governors.
