Women of Vision Celebration: The Third Annual Women of Vision Celebration by Girls Inc. on March 7 will honor two area business leaders. Madeline Scales-Taylor, emeritus staff Mayo Foundation and past community affairs administrator, will receive the 2019 Women of Vision Award for her lifetime achievements to improve the community. Donna Orender, a corporate business leader and author, will receive the Champions for Girls Award.
Champion Brands to distribute Tabula Rasa beer: Jacksonville-based beverage wholesaler Champion Brands will distribute Tabula Rasa Brewing craft beer in Northeast Florida. Tabula Rasa Brewing, owned by the Peterson family, opened in 2018 in the Railyard District next to McCoys Creek at 2385 Corbett St., the former Mixon Studios.
