St. Johns County notes: Bannon Lakes Sports Complex in review; GreenWise to World Commerce Center

St. Johns County is reviewing plans for the Bannon Lakes Sports Complex at northeast Duran Drive and Parkland Trail.

The 30,000-square-foot project is planned on 4.28 acres.

The project comprises a 30,000-square-foot gymnasium, a 20,000-square-foot covered sports field and infrastructure for about 5,000 square feet of commercial development.

England-Thims & Miller Inc. is the civil engineer and prepared the plans for Billy Jack Investments LLC, led by the developers of the Above Athletics center in southern Duval County.

GreenWise to World Commerce Center

 St. Johns County and the St. Johns River Water Management District are reviewing plans for a grocer at World Commerce Center that separately has been identified as a Publix GreenWise Market.

The 25,147-square-foot grocery store will be flanked by 14,000 square feet of retail space.

The 39,147-square-foot retail center will be developed on 16.62 acres at northeast Florida 16 and International Golf Parkway.

Scrubbles Car Wash

St. Johns County is reviewing plans for Scrubbles Car Wash to build a 5,130-square-foot building, parking area, detailing area and 18 vacuum parking spaces on 1.41 acres at 5000 Florida 16 in World Commerce Center.

Circle K

Circle K Stores Inc. paid $1.4 million for 1.78 acres at 1195 St. Johns Parkway, at Race Track Road and St. Johns Parkway.

It bought the land from CLDG Parkway Place LLC of Jacksonville.

Durbin Creek Crossing

JEA is reviewing the service availability for ABC Fine Wine & Spirits to build its 11,000-square-foot retail building in Durbin Creek Crossing.

St. Johns County is reviewing plans for Tire Kingdom in the development, south of Race Track Road, west of County Road 2209.
