Clay County announces government office openings for Thursday

Courthouse, clerk’s offices, schools and animal shelter remain closed.

Clay County announced that some government offices will open for business Thursday

Those to open are the administrative offices and the tax collector, property appraiser, supervisor of elections, sheriff’s office and public libraries.

The Clay County Courthouse and the Clerk’s Offices will remain closed Thursday and plan to reopen Friday.

People with court dates Sept. 3-5 will be contacted by mail about reset dates.

The Clay County Animal Shelter will reopen to the public Saturday.

Owners wanting to pick up their pets can do so between 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday or Friday.

Clay County District Schools will remain closed Thursday.
