Jacksonville International Airport says all flights canceled Wednesday

Passengers urged to contact their airlines for their fight status.

The Jacksonville International Airport announced that flights for Wednesday have been canceled as Hurricane Dorian produces tropical storm-force winds in areas of Northeast Florida.

JAX made the announcement at 1:46 p.m. Airport officials are urging passengers to contact their airlines for their fight status.

The airport remained open and operational Tuesday and through Wednesday as the storm approached. Mayor Lenny Curry said Tuesday night that JAX had activated its Emergency Operations Center.
