Marks Gray expands its intellectual property practice

The law firm is adding a patent attorney and two patent agents.

The Marks Gray law firm is expanding its intellectual property practice with the addition of a registered patent attorney and two registered patent agents formerly with Mitchell Ghaneie Law.

“Jacksonville’s rapid growth and numerous rankings as a top market for startups and business expansions has created a strong need for full-service intellectual property services for startups, small business and large entities,” said Fred Kent III, Marks Gray president and shareholder, in a news release.

Claire Patton

Registered patent attorney Mitchell Ghaneie focuses his practice on patent and trademark applications as well as representing clients in disputes involving IP matters.

Claire Patton has been a registered patent agent since 2006. She has experience in preparing and filing domestic and international patent applications.

Christopher Roberts
Christopher Roberts

Christopher Roberts is a structural engineer and registered patent agent. He specializes in helping clients prepare patent applications to protect their inventions.

The addition will provide a full-service IP practice that includes all legal services to help clients with the patent, copyright and trademark process and perform services such as freedom-to-operate analyses and patent landscape studies, according to the release.

Marks Gray has 28 attorneys and 60 staff members in its Jacksonville office.
