JEA issued a service availability letter July 19 for Wawa’s proposed 5,537-square-foot gas station and convenience store at 970 Cassat Ave.
AT Construction Management Inc. of Seminole is the agent. The 1.5-acre site is at Normandy Boulevard and Cassat Avenue.
Wawa.com shows that address on its “coming soon” list to open in summer 2023.
Pennsylvania-based Wawa opened its first Jacksonville area stores in December 2017.
Almost six years later, it has 17 locations in Northeast Florida, with five more coming soon.
It lists as opening in summer 2023: Cassat; Baymeadows Road; and Spring Park Road.
Opening in fall 2023: St. Augustine and Saint Johns.
