Former Mayor Lenny Curry joins Ballard Partners

The government relations firm has offices in Jacksonville, Tallahassee and Washington, D.C.

Former Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry is joining government relations firm Ballard Partners, which has offices in Jacksonville, Tallahassee and Washington, D.C.

“Lenny’s exemplary stature as a leader in our state and nation is rare and we are especially honored to have him join our firm. Given his extraordinary relationships and experiences, Lenny will be an invaluable advocate for the firm’s clients in Washington, Tallahassee and Jacksonville,” Brian Ballard, president and founder, said in a news release.

“I am delighted to be joining Brian and the outstanding team at Ballard Partners and I am looking forward to contributing to the firm’s continued growth and success across the country,” Curry said in the release.

Curry was a CPA with PricewaterhouseCoopers from 1994 to 2002, a senior manager in the Jacksonville office.

In 2002, he founded ICX Group Inc. in Jacksonville to provide accounting and finance consulting, executive recruiting and staffing services.

Curry is a former chair of the Duval County and Florida Republican Party organizations and was elected mayor for two terms beginning in 2015.

Born in Key West, Curry grew up in Middleburg and received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Florida.
