VyStar Credit Union is working on adding a farmers market canopy at its Downtown campus breezeway.

The city issued a permit May 12 for Dana B. Kenyon Co. to add canopies over the breezeway between the main building and the parking garage at a project cost of $252,000.

The architect is RS&H.

VyStar owns the block that comprises VyStar Tower at 76 S. Laura St., the 100 W. Bay St. building and the garage on the west side of the block.

The breezeway between the buildings features a food kiosk and seating areas. It hosts events that include music performances.

VyStar President and CEO Brian Wolfburg said previously that he expects to create indoor and exterior amenities for VyStar employees, including sculptures; pop-up retail, like farmers markets; and other features, including the food truck court that operates along Hogan Street.

The Bread & Board restaurant owners and VyStar opened a food marketplace on the ground floor of the 100 W. Bay St. building and a restaurant on the top floor.
