The Jacksonville Bar Association, Jacksonville Bankruptcy Bar Association, Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, The Florida Bar Business Law Section and the Duval County Veterans Treatment Court will host a Military Financial Wellness Summit from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 9 at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena.
The program will cover topics including budgeting, credit and credit cards, effective financial management and savings tools, bankruptcy and financial distress.
Free to active duty members of the military, veterans and their families, the event is an opportunity to meet with lawyers and financial advisers for personalized assistance. The program will include complimentary food and parking.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the Duval County Veterans Treatment Court, the city Veterans and Military Affairs Office, K9s For Warriors, Wounded Warrior Project, North Florida Women’s Veterans Inc. and other organizations will provide information about services available in the community.
