Reunion Rehabilitation Hospital Jacksonville, a 48-bed inpatient physical rehabilitation facility on the city’s Southside, has sold for $48.75 million.
According to a deed recorded with the Duval County Clerk of the Court Aug. 12, the buyer, through HPIV Jacksonville LLC, was Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based real estate investment firm Hammes Partners.
According to hammespartners.com, it acquires, develops and manages outpatient facilities, including medical offices, on behalf of investors.
The seller was Reunion Jacksonville RE LLC of Dallas, which bought the hospital’s land in December 2022 from Tamaya Loan Acquisition LLC for $2.36 million ahead of construction.
In March 2022, the city issued three permits for construction of the facility at 12645 Salina Drive at a cost of $17 million. Auld & White Constructors LLC was the contractor for the three-story, 57,300-square-foot hospital on 4.6 acres northeast of Kernan and Beach boulevards.
The provider treats patients recovering from stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, multiple trauma, neurological injury and amputation. It is adjacent to Grand Living at Tamaya, an independent living, assisted living and memory care facility.
Nobis Rehabilitation Partners manages Reunion Rehabilitation Hospitals, listing on its website that, in addition to the Jacksonville facility, it has two in Colorado, two in Texas, two in Arizona and one in Ohio. It is Nobis’ first hospital in Florida.
According to reunionrehabhospital.com, the facility provides individualized treatment plans and 24-hour nursing care. Amenities include therapy gyms and an outdoor courtyard.
