Home2 Suites by Hilton Jacksonville Downtown in the Brooklyn neighborhood is open, developer Corner Lot announced April 5.

The six-story, 100-room extended-stay hotel is at 600 Park St.

It is 62,483 square feet on 1.21 acres at Park, Rosselle and Chelsea streets near Interstate 95 and the Five Points business district.

The project is a partnership between Corner Lot Development Group and Kelco Management and Development Inc.

“This new property offers flexibility, customization and the essentials to help our business and leisure guests feel at home regardless of their length of stay,” Bob Pierce, general manager, said in a news release.

“This project represents our unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation, and we are thrilled to contribute to the economic vitality of the Brooklyn neighborhood,” Corner Lot CEO Andy Allen said.

The hotel website shows rooms starting at $175 per night.

The hotel has studio and one-bedroom suites with storage and “stylish innovations,” including a “working wall,” which incorporates a full kitchen and a flexible working/media space, according to the release. The suites have modular furniture.

The hotel is pet-friendly.

It offers complimentary daily breakfast, free Wi-Fi and multifunctional community space and amenities including a 24-hour fitness center with Peloton cycle and Hydrow rowing machines, a self-service laundry room and a Home2 MKT for grab-and-go items.

The property has an outdoor patio, fire pit and 650 square feet of private meeting space.

A grand opening is being planned for early May, the release said.

Home2 Suites by Hilton Jacksonville Downtown was designed with plans for a ground-floor restaurant with outdoor seating. Players Grille leased the ground-floor restaurant space and is preparing for tenant improvements.

The Jacksonville City Council approved a $2.38 million grant for owner Kelco Brooklyn LLC in May 2022. The grant will be repaid over 10 years with annual installments of $238,522.
