Atlanta-based Ascend Plastic Surgery Partners announced April 9 the acquisition of Ponte Vedra Plastic Surgery.

Ponte Vedra Plastic Surgery has offices in Ponte Vedra Beach, Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Amelia Island and Nocatee.

The company was founded 30 years ago by Dr. Cacey Rumsey and Dr. Robert Burk. The practice includes Dr. Erez Sternberg, Dr. Hollie Hickman and CEO Dennis Oistacher.

Ascend Plastic Surgery Partners is led by Dr. William Hedden and CEO Anthony Milonas. Ascend was created in 2023 by Sheridan Capital Partners, a Chicago-based healthcare private equity firm that says it “focuses on lower middle market buyouts and growth equity in the U.S. and Canada.”

Ascend has clinics in Birmingham and Tuscaloosa, Alabama; Greenville, South Carolina; Lindon, Utah; and Las Cruces, New Mexico.

“Joining forces with Ascend Plastic Surgery Partners represents a pivotal chapter in our journey,” Oistacher said a news release.

“It’s a partnership that reflects our shared commitment to unparalleled patient care, innovation, and the continuation of the legacy we’ve built at PVPS.”

The Ascend website states its mission as: “Ascend Plastic Surgery Partners is a Management Services Organization (MSO) in the field of Plastic Surgery and Aesthetics. Founded on a commitment to excellence, innovation, and patient care, Ascend brings together a network of highly accomplished plastic surgeons and their practices to advance aesthetic medicine, helping our patients feel more confident in their own body.”

Its services include facelifts, neck surgery, tummy tuck, eyelid surgery, hair replacement, breast augmentation and more.

Terms of the acquisition were not announced.
