Don Wiggins retiring as Heritage Capital CEO

He is being succeeded by Bill Sorenson, a principal at the firm.

Heritage Capital Group announced Jan. 25 that Don Wiggins is retiring as president and CEO and has become chairman of the board.

Bill Sorenson was named new chief executive officer and Alex Kellison was named president.

Sorenson, who joined Heritage in December 2006, and Kellison, who joined in February 2014, are both principals of the firm.

Heritage is a Jacksonville-based investment banking and financial advisory firm serving middle market and emerging growth companies.

Wiggins founded the company more than 30 years ago and grew it along with Howard Serkin, who is chairman of Heritage’s advisory board.

“Bill and Alex have been integral to our success, and their leadership will undoubtedly contribute to the continued growth and success of our firm,” Wiggins said in a news release.
