The refurbished Delta Hotels by Marriott Jacksonville Deerwood has reopened and rebranded, according to a March 5 news release from Hunter Thayer Consulting.
Built in 1989, the hotel sits on 4.3 acres at 4700 Salisbury Road, near Butler Boulevard and Interstate 95.
It was formerly a Best Western Premier.
In July 2022 The 1754 Properties purchased the properties for $16.325 million.
Lloyd’s Construction & Consulting of Jacksonville was the contractor.
The project cost was $6 million.
The hotel has 163 refurbished rooms and three suites. There is a restaurant, an updated lobby and coffee shop, a new fitness center and 3,795 square feet of upgraded meeting and event spaces. The pool area has also been upgraded.
The Delta Grill serves breakfast and dinner. The Bridges Coffee Shop serves breakfast and lunch.
A complimentary Delta Pantry is available to Marriott Bonvoy Platinum, Titanium and Ambassador Elite members.
“This property sets itself apart through its amenities and services crafted to appeal to a range of travelers, including those on business and leisure trips, as well as families,” General Manager Joseph Cox said in the release.
The hotel participates in the Marriott Bonvoy travel club where guests can earn and use points during their stay.
