UF Health, with three emergency and urgent care centers in Jacksonville, appears to be considering a fourth.

City utility provider JEA is reviewing a service availability determination request for a proposed UF Health free-standing emergency department on 2.1 acres along the north side of Atlantic Boulevard, west of the Intracoastal Waterway.

The three parcels identified in the request are next to the Terrabella Coastal Apartments, which are at 13723 Atlantic Blvd.

The three parcels of interest to UF Health are at 13679 and 13711 Atlantic Blvd., now used primarily as open storage.

The site is east of the Harbour Village shopping center, which is anchored by The Fresh Market and Crunch Fitness.

Baker Design Build of Jacksonville is the applicant.

The proposed project is tentatively shown as 27,102 square feet, which is larger than the others.

UF Health has UF Health Emergency & Urgent Care Center locations at 11251 Lamb Tail Lane in Baymeadows; 888 Lane Ave. S. in West Jacksonville; and 11277 New Kings Road in Northwest Jacksonville. All are open 24/7.
