Alexander Chezaud said that after opening a new location of his Le Petit Paris cafe and an offshoot called Le Petit Atelier in a little over a year, he was not looking to add a third.
But when he saw the chance to expand into Ponte Vedra Beach, he said, he couldn’t pass it up.
“We always wanted it, but we never found a location that could fit our needs. So when we knew about this possibility, I had to jump on the opportunity,” he said.
“It’s not every day that you get spaces available in Ponte Vedra. It checked a lot of the boxes that we needed.”
Chezaud is preparing to open the new Ponte Vedra Beach location at 830 Florida A1A N., after launching a shop in San Pablo in 2025 and Le Petit Atelier in Atlantic Beach in 2026.
“We opened three locations between February of last year and today,” he said, including the Ponte Vedra Beach location. “Ponte Vedra is very special for us, because we’ve been wanting to come here since almost day one.”
The Ponte Vedra shop is Chezaud’s sixth, starting with the original at 9965 San Jose Blvd, Suite 46, in Mandarin. That restaurant opened in 2019. Since then, he has expanded to:
The Ponte Vedra Beach cafe is south of Ruth’s Chris Steak House and Restaurant Medure.
Like the other Le Petit Paris locations, the Ponte Vedra Beach restaurant will be fast-casual and will serve baguette and croissant sandwiches, quiche, salads, cheese boards, sweets and pastries. Prices range from $6.25 to $20.
It will offer coffee drinks, sodas, juices, tea and wine.
The cafe’s hours will reflect the other four locations — 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Chezaud said the restaurant may open at 7 a.m. to cater to families dropping off children at the nearby Bolles School Ponte Vedra.
