To make way for Jacksonville Jaguars fans as EverBank Stadium undergoes renovations as the Stadium of the Future, the city is reviewing plans to add temporary seating at an estimated project cost of $2.12 million.
The seating is for the upper and lower club risers in the East and West Clubs at the Downtown stadium.
“In order to maximize capacity for our fans in 2026, we are in the process of adding temporary seating in the West and East Club patios and in a few other areas that have been modified during construction,” Jaguars Business Communications Director Lyndsay Rossman said in an email Aug. 7.
“The build is similar to what one would find at the Florida-Georgia football game,” she said.
InProduction, which has 10 locations around the country, is shown as the contractor. The company provides seating systems for venues that include stadiums, amphitheaters, golf courses, auto sports and more.
The $1.4 billion Stadium of the Future renovation means the Jaguars will play at a limited capacity at home games this year and then move most of their home games to Orlando during the 2027 season. The team returns to the renovated Stadium of the Future in 2028.
In 2026, the Jaguars will play their home games at a reduced capacity of 42,507, or 62% of the usual capacity.
The first home preseason game of the 2026 season is set for 7:30 p.m. Aug. 21 vs. the Carolina Panthers.
Kickoff for the regular season is a home game scheduled for 1 p.m. Sept. 13 against the Cleveland Browns.
The team is scheduled to play two games in London in back-to-back weeks, followed by a bye week, allowing for uninterrupted progress on renovations.
The two London games are Oct. 11 vs. the Philadelphia Eagles and Oct. 18 against the Houston Texans.
