For Legos on the go, three travel essentials shops are in permitting at Concourse B

The city is reviewing plans for the stores in Jacksonville International Airport’s expansion that will add six gates.

Three travel essentials tenants are now in permit review for Jacksonville International Airport’s six-gate Concourse B, which is under construction for completion by the end of 2026.

Merchandise will include Sweet Pete’s candy, Lego and Toys R Us, along with the typical flying fare of grab-and-go foods, snacks, drinks, apparel, blankets, electronics, cups and tumblers, reading material and other items that might be considered necessities for those who travel.

The tenants are:

• Seven Bridges Marketplace, at an estimated project cost of almost $2.2 million. The 3,949-square-foot project comprises a 3,563-square foot shop and 386 square feet of remote storage. The shop is at the entrance of Concourse B. The project comprises the 1,054-square-foot shop, also near the entrance to the Concourse B, and 398 square feet of remote storage. 

• The Beaches @JAX, at an estimated cost of almost $1.16 million. The 1,452-square-foot project comprises a 1,054-square-foot shop near the entrance to Concourse B, along with 398 square feet of remote storage.  

• Postcards from Jacksonville, at an estimated $1.62 million. The 1,901-square-foot space comprises the 1,432-square-foot shop and 469 square feet of storage space. The shop is near the end of Concourse B.

The shops will be operated by WHSmith, which works with airport landlords to bring in retail stores.

The three retail options are in the six-gate Concourse B, while Five Points General Store is planned at baggage claim. 

Marshall Retail Group will manage the shops.

As for food, Host International Inc. will manage the concourse’s 3,814-square-foot Oak & Ocean Food Hall, under construction at a project cost of nearly $6.29 million. 

The Jacksonville Aviation Authority board has approved lease agreements to bring Cantina Louie Mexican Street Food, Chick-fil-A, Panda Express, Pura Bean Coffee Co., Salt & Tide, V Pizza and Willie Jewell’s Old School Bar-B-Q to Concourse B.

Paradies Lagardère Travel Retail will manage Pura Bean and Salt & Tide.

Construction on the $344 million, 186,733-square-foot, three-level Concourse B began in July 2024.

Balfour Beatty Construction LLC of Orlando is the construction manager. Jacobs Engineering of Gainesville is the lead design engineer and Jacksonville-based RS&H Inc. is the architectural subcontractor.

The North Jacksonville airport is at 2400 Yankee Clipper Drive.
