Bedell adds attorneys, promotes paralegal

Four attorneys were added and a team member from the law firm's support staff was promoted.

The Bedell Firm added four attorneys and promoted a longtime team member on the law firm’s support staff.

Attorney James McCauley focuses his practice on criminal defense. He received a J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and was a summer associate with Bedell. 

William Weber focuses his practice on business and employment litigation, representing companies and individuals in contract disputes and related matters. He also was a Bedell summer associate.

Weber received his law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. Before re-joining Bedell, he practiced with a law firm in Orlando. 

Sarah Byres focuses her practice on family law. A Jacksonville native, she received her law degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law and previously practiced in Lexington, where she handled divorce, custody and domestic violence cases.

Taylor Collins, also a former summer associate at Bedell, focuses her practice on civil litigation. 

She received her J.D. from Florida State University, where she was managing editor of the Florida State Law Review and gained experience through legislative and public defense roles before joining Bedell.

Jennifer Griffis is promoted to full-time paralegal.

She joined Bedell in 2013 and has supported the criminal defense team in various roles. 

Griffis received a Certificate in Paralegal Studies in 2022 and became a Certified Paralegal in 2023.
