A former Shell gas station in Orange Park appears likely to be converted into Clay County’s first Parker’s Kitchen.
The Savannah, Georgia-based convenience store and gas station chain purchased the site for $3 million May 21 through DPC FL LLC. The property is at 1201 Blanding Blvd. in Orange Park, east of the First Coast Expressway interchange.
The seller was Jacksonville-based Suncoast Properties of Jacksonville Inc.
Clay County began reviewing a permit application for the location in 2024 that calls for a 5,175-square-foot store with 10 fueling stations. Jacksonville-based England-Thims & Miller Inc. is the civil engineer.
Parker’s Kitchen features Southern comfort food. It operates at least 102 stores across Georgia and South Carolina and is expanding into Northeast Florida with confirmed sites planned in Duval, Nassau and St. Johns counties.
The company is also exploring another Clay County site on Fleming Island.
