A “luxury pet hotel” with such features as chandeliers, Italian tile, suites with flat-screen televisions and more is tentatively scheduled to open June 27 in South Jacksonville.

According to a May 27 news release, K9 Resorts Jacksonville will offer 11,900 square feet of indoor and outdoor boarding and daycare space for pets at 10550 Deerwood Park Blvd., Suite 700. The site is southwest of the St. Johns Town Center. 

“Recognized for its state-of-the-art amenities, K9 Resorts Jacksonville features premium Kuranda bedding, Microban flooring, a hospital-grade air purification system and UV air filtration, all while staffed by a well-trained and attentive dog-loving staff,” the release stated.

In October 2025, the city issued a permit for K9 Resorts to build-out 8,773 square feet of space at a project cost of $1.2 million.

The grand opening event will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, music, food, refreshments and tours of the new facility. 

“Guests will get an exclusive look at the beautiful marble reception desk, breathtaking crystal chandeliers, intricate architectural moldings and Italian tile throughout, along with Luxury suites with flatscreen televisions,” the release said.

K9 Resorts Jacksonville plans to begin taking in dogs starting June 29. Reservations are available at https://www.k9resorts.com/jacksonville/.

According to the site, per-day prices are $60 for a "traditional standard" to $95 for "luxury suites" with in-suite entertainment featuring Dog TV, options for all-day group play or playtime with staff, Blue Buffalo meals and more.
