• Dr. Patrick Monaghan, a professor in the University of North Florida School of Nursing, received the U.S. Department of Defense Armed Services Blood Program Lifetime Achievement Award. Monaghan, a Yulee resident, was presented the award by the Surgeon General of the U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Eric Schoomaker recently in Baltimore during the 2010 annual meeting of the American Association of Blood Banks and Cellular Therapy and Transfusion Medicine Expo.
