Developer and home builder Corner Lot on Dec. 1 was named the 2022 Developer of the Year by the American Institute of Investment Housing.

The American Institute of Investment Housing was founded in 2020 as a nonprofit organization by St. Augustine-based DLP Capital. It works with investors to increase the amount of workforce housing in communities.

“Our teachers, first responders and law enforcement personnel should be able to live and send their children to school in the same communities where they work and serve,” said George Leone, Corner Lot COO, in a news release.

Corner Lot is developing the Johnson Commons town home community in LaVilla, Flagler Crossing in St. Augustine and Kings Crossing in St. Johns County.

Breeze Homes, its single-family homebuilding arm, specializes in construction of entry-level houses for first-time homebuyers.
