First Watch to OakLeaf Crossing; Heartland Dental to Town Center, OakLeaf Station

First Watch is replacing Gator’s Dockside.

The city issued a permit Feb. 19 for First Watch to build-out a 3,656-square-foot restaurant at 9680 Argyle Forest Blvd., No. 1, in OakLeaf Crossing in Southwest Jacksonville.

Venture Construction Co. is the contractor for the $574,067 project.

Plans show a restaurant with 114 inside seats and 32 on the patio.

It is replacing Gator’s Dockside, which has a nearby free-standing building.

The OakLeaf First Watch will include a partial bar and serve crafted brunch cocktails.

Heartland Dental renovating closed bank in Town Center

Heartland Dental is converting a closed Regions Bank building in front of St. John’s Town Center North at a cost of almost $580,000.

The city issued a permit Feb. 20 for the 3,830-square-foot project at 4569 Town Center Parkway. 

The contractor is Stultz Inc. of Fort Myers.

The city also is reviewing a permit application for Heartland Dental at 8324 Merchants Way in OakLeaf Station. 

No contractor is listed for the $366,080 build-out of 3,328 square feet.
